Bezzo
Dr. Fabrizio Bezzo is Professor of Chemical Engineering and vice-Director of the Department of Industrial Engineering at University of Padova. He received his degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Padova and his PhD at Imperial College London (UK). His research interests comprise process and supply chain modeling and optimization in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and energy sectors, in particular with concern to the strategic design of biofuel production systems. He has published 200 scientific papers in international research journals and conference proceedings. In 2017-2022 he co-chaired the Energy Section of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering. Currently, he is involved in several international projects for industrial decarbonization, and coordinates the European Project DigitAlgaesation aiming at the digitalization of microalgae cultivation systems for sustainable production of chemicals and fuels.
